Basic crochet baskets.

Nämä ja nämä aikoja sitten tekemäni korit ovat saaneet niin paljon kyselyitä tarkemmasta ohjeesta ja myös englanniksi, että laitanpa ne nyt vihdoin tässä jakoon. Nyt vaan kaikki koukut ja kuteet käteen ja hommiin! Näin teet virkattuja koreja:

ROIKKUVA KORI

Tarvitset: 8mm virkkuukoukku, kudetta
Lyhenteet: Ketjusilmukka=kjs, kiinteä silmukka=ks, piilosilmukka=ps

Virkkaa 4 kjs ja sulje se renkaaksi ps:lla. Virkkaa renkaaseen 8 ks ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla.
1.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs ja jokaiseen silmukkaan 2 ks = 16s
2.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs ja '1ks, 2ks samaan silmukkaan' x 8 ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla = 24s
3.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs ja loppu kerros ilman lisäyksiä ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla = 24s
4.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs ja '2ks, 2ks samaan silmukkaan' x 8 ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla = 32s
5.-7.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs ja loppu kerros ilman lisäyksiä ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla = 32s
8.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs ja '6ks, 2s yhteen' x 4 ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla = 28s
9.-11.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs ja loppu kerros ilman lisäyksiä ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla = 28s
12.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs, '4ks, 2s yhteen' x 4, 2ks, 2s yhteen ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla = 23s

13.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs ja loppu kerros ilman lisäyksiä ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla = 23s

14.krs: Virkkaa 1 kjs, 2ks, 2 yhteen, 1ks kunnes jäljellä on 4s, sitten 2s yhteen ja 2ks ja viimeistele kerros ps:lla = 21s
Tee 10 kjs ja kiinnitä silmukoiden ketju koriin ps:lla. Tee vielä kaksi ps:aa ja päättele lanka.

PERUSKORI

6. krs: Virkkaa kiinteitä silmukoita niin monta kerrosta ilman lisäyksiä kunnes kori on halutun kokoinen

Päättele lanka. 

Vinkkejä: 

• Jos haluat isomman korin, teet suurempi pohja jatkamalla lisäämiskerroksia lisäämällä aina kiinteiden silmukoiden määrää kerros kerrokselta 2 yhteen tehtävien silmukoiden väleissä. 
• Jos haluat helpottaa päättelytyötä, virkkaa alusta (ja mahdollisista värinvaihdoksista) jäävä lanka suoraan virkatessa silmukoiden sisään. 
• Merkkaa kerroksen alkukohta laittamalla siihen merkkilanka, jolloin kerrosten erottaminen on helppoa. Siirrä lankaa aina uuden kerroksen alkuun edetessäsi.

These and these baskets I've made years ago have gotten so many inquiries on how to make them that I finally wrote down the instructions here:

HANGING BASKET

You will need: 8mm crochet hook, some jersey yarn or similar
Abbreviations: Chain stitch = ch,  single crochet = sc, slip stitch = sl, stich = st

Make 3 ch and close the ring with sl. Crochet 8 sc in the ring and finish the layer with sl.
1st round: 1 ch and 2 sc in each st = 16 st
2nd round: 1 ch and '1 sc, 2 sc in the same stich' x 8 and finish the the layer with sl = 24 st
3rd floor: 1 ch and crochet the rest of the layer without increases and finish the the layer with sl = 24  st
4th floor: 1 ch and '2 sc, 2 sc in the same stich' x 8 and finish the the layer with sl = 32 st
rows 5.-7: 1 ch and crochet the rest of the layer without increases and finish the the layer with sl = 32 st
8th row: 1 ch and '6 sc, 2 sc together' x 4 and finish the the layer with sl = 28 st
rows 9.-11: 1 ch and crochet the rest of the layer without increases and finish the the layer with sl = 28 st
12th row: 1 ch and '4 sc, 2 sc together' x 4, 2 sc together, 2 sc and finish the the layer with sl = 23 st
13th row: 1 ch and crochet the rest of the layer without increases and finish the the layer with sl = 23 st
14th row: 1 ch and 2 sc, 2 sc together, crochet until there is 4 st left and then do 2 sc together, 2 sc and finish the the layer with sl = 23 st 
Make 10 ch and cast the row of stiches to the basket with a slip stitch and make two more slip stiches. 

Cast off. 


BASIC BASKET

You will need: 8mm crochet hook, some jersey yarn or similar

Make 4 ch and close the ring with sl. Crochet 8 sc in the ring and finish the layer with sl.

3rd floor: 1 ch and '2 sc, 2 sc in the same stich' x 8 and finish the the layer with sl = 32 st

5th row: Crochet one layer without increases, so that you pull the hook at the back edge of the stich and finish the the layer with sl.
6th row: Crochet single crochets without increases as many layers as long as the basket is the wanted size. 

Cast off.
