Gray.

Mun visio tästä päivästä oli että pidetään kivaa kavereiden kanssa aurinkoisella kelillä värikkäissä kesäisissä vaatteissa värikkäillä Flow festareilla, mutta ulkona sataa kaatamalla ja on harmaata. Toivottavasti iltapäivä toisi tullessaan edes vilauksen sinisestä taivaasta...

Tosin en pistäisi pahitteeksi jos näitä harmaita juttuja löytyisi mun kotoa:

We're going to the Flow Festival today in Helsinki. It's raining and it's gray. Hopefully we'll have at least a bit of sun today... I wouldn't mind having these gray things in my home:

Cottage potholders.

Kuten mainitsin viime postauksessani, mä aloin kesällä virkata. Laiturilla valmistui patalappuja.

As I mentioned in my earlier post I started to crochet during the summer. I've been making potholders to our summer cottage.

Knit.

Mä aloin kesällä virkkaamaan. Se on hirmu leppoisaa puuhaa - varsinkin mökin laiturilla. Viime talvena kudoinkin hieman, mutta se taito on hieman hakusessa. Into on kuitenkin kova ja tänään törmäsin The Goodie Life blogin kautta tällaiseen mahtavuuteen: Wool and the Gang! Got to love it. Olen etsinyt juuri tuollaisia lankoja koko kesän enkä löytänyt mistään. Kalliitahan ne ovat, mutta ihania!

I started to crochet during the summer - it's a nice hobby. I also did some knitting last winter. I'm not so good at that but I'm trying! Today I found a cool thing called Wool and the Gang through The Goodie Life blog. I've been looking for yarn like that for the whole summer and haven't found it anywhere - and now I have! They are expensive, but lovely!

Wind of change.

Heippahei pitkästä aikaa oikeen kunnolla! Lomalla kerkesi lataamaan akkuja ihan hyvin. Kiireisen kevään jälkeen tuntuu, että löysi taas hieman itsensä. En halua hukkua enää siihen kiireeseen ja paikasta toiseen juoksemiseen. Haluan nauttia elämästä - etenkin niistä pienistä jutuista. Musta tuntuu myöskin että alan tietää mitä haluan. Se tunne tulee aina välillä ja välillä se taas karkaa, mutta näin loman jälkeen se tunne on taas vahvasti läsnä.

Tuntuu että on muutosten aika.

Olen myös löytänyt unelmakotini jostain ruotsalaisesta ihme kesälehtisestä. Tuohon suuntaan nyt alkaa tavoittelu. Tosin tuollaisia koteja ei oikein Suomesta löydy, mutta aina sitä saa yrittää ja rakentaa ajan kanssa omanlaisensa. Tämäkin ajatus rauhoittaa.

I've had time to recharge my batteries during the summer and my aim now is not to go back to the hassle which I lived in during the spring. I want to enjoy life - especially the little things. I feel like I know what I want. It can feel a wind of change.

I've also found my dream home from a swedish magazine. Something to work for.

Good times at our summer cottage.

Wire baskets.

We went to a local hardware store near our summer cottage while we were there and they sold these cute baskets made of wire. I absolutely fell in love with them! Had to have them! Now they sit in my kitchen.

Collages.

It's nice to be back home after spending almost 3 weeks at our summer cottage. Yesterday I bumped into these lovely collages at Deviantart. They make me want to start doing collages. I used to make them but haven't done one in a long time.
